Privacy Policy

Roots and Spices is a sole trader business based in Auckland, New Zealand. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We handle your information in line with the Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery address if you choose delivery, your order details and any notes you add. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.

Why we collect it

To make and deliver your order, to contact you about it, and to keep a record of sales as required for tax purposes.

Who we share it with

Stripe, who process your payment. Supabase, where order records are stored. Nobody else. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t send marketing email unless you’ve asked us to.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for seven years, as required by Inland Revenue for business records.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email hello@rootsandspices.co.nz and we’ll respond within 20 working days.
